Simon Sabela

Simon Sabela was a South African actor, director, and playwright who played a significant role in developing the film industry for black South Africans during apartheid. He is best known for his leading role in the 1973 film "Udeliwe". Sabela also helped to found the South African Black Academy of Arts and was posthumously awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the South African Film and Television Awards in 2006.
