Stratford Johns was a British actor best known for his role as Detective Chief Inspector Charlie Barlow in the popular TV series "Softly, Softly". His other notable roles include in "Z-Cars" and "The Sweeney". Johns was born on September 22, 1925, in London, England, and died on January 29, 2002.
