Ted Knight was an American actor and comedian born on December 7, 1923. He is best known for his role as Ted Baxter in the sitcom "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and as Judge Elihu Smails in the movie "Caddyshack". Knight won two Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Ted Baxter. He passed away on August 26, 1986.
