Walter Matthau was a beloved American actor known for his comedic roles in films such as "The Odd Couple," "Grumpy Old Men," and "The Bad News Bears." He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "The Fortune Cookie" and was also nominated for his work in "Kotch" and "The Sunshine Boys." He died in 2000 at the age of 79.
