William Bryant

William Cullen Bryant (1794-1878) was an American poet, journalist, and editor. He is best known for his poetry, including "Thanatopsis," which explores the idea of death, and "To a Waterfowl," which celebrates the beauty of nature. Bryant also worked as the editor-in-chief of the New York Evening Post for over 50 years.
