William Castle

William Castle was an American film director and producer known for his horror films in the 1950s and 60s. He was famous for his use of gimmicks, such as buzzing seats and life insurance policies, to promote his movies. Castle directed films such as "House on Haunted Hill" and "The Tingler." He died in 1977.
