William Holden was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 70 films and earned an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Stalag 17. Holden was known for his roles in Sunset Boulevard, Network, and The Bridge on the River Kwai. He died in 1981 at the age of 63.
