Yukio Mishima
Yukio Mishima was a Japanese author and playwright who is widely regarded as one of the most important literary figures of the 20th century. He was born in Tokyo in 1925 and began writing in his early twenties, producing a wide range of works that often explored themes of death, sexuality, and political upheaval. Mishima is perhaps best known for his tetralogy of novels, The Sea of Fertility, which he completed just before his suicide in 1970.
